Mytho2™

Certified MythoSelf Facilitator

Develop the capacity to facilitate generative change—and help others access an excitatory orientation for themselves.

The starting point

Begin with
what works.

How is a person organized when they are at their best—open, resourceful, and able to engage what life presents?

Developed by Joseph Riggio, Ph.D., the MythoSelf Process™ begins by eliciting that experience. Through Personal Modeling, you learn to recognize its distinctive somatic and perceptual organization and make it accessible deliberately.

Your own experience is part of the training. You learn to access and sustain an excitatory orientation: an embodied readiness to perceive possibility, engage with circumstances, and participate with greater agency.

From that position, you develop the precision to facilitate others. You attend to the person in front of you, recognize what is changing, and create an intervention appropriate to the unfolding encounter.

Generative facilitation means being able to create appropriate applications as they are needed. The work becomes available through your perception and participation, beyond the repetition of a learned sequence.

The curriculum

Four areas of practice.
One integrated capacity.

Personal, Somatic, Semantic, and Systemic Modeling develop together as you learn to facilitate the MythoSelf Process™ with precision.

01 / PERSONAL MODELING

Recognize the person
at their best.

Develop direct access to your own resourceful organization and learn to elicit it in another person. Refine the sensory awareness that lets you notice the difference.

  • History, principles, and structure of the MythoSelf Process™.
  • Calibration, tracking, and adumbration as distinct skills.
  • Personal sensory awareness and access to the Ready State.
  • Orientation toward the future and the experience of possibility.
02 / SOMATIC MODELING

Work with the organization
of being.

Learn to recognize how identity and behavior take form somatically. Attend to the bodily organization through which perception, meaning, and action become available.

  • Somatic markers of identity and behavior.
  • Soma-Semantics™ and the relationship between body and meaning.
  • Generative change: from limitation toward possibility.
  • The Hero’s Journey, metaphor, and conversational storytelling.
03 / SEMANTIC MODELING

Make the conversation
part of the change.

Develop precision in language and nonverbal communication. Learn to work conversationally while remaining responsive to the person’s experience as it unfolds.

  • Facilitation with individuals and private clients.
  • Verbal, nonverbal, and conversational hypnotic communication.
  • Metaphor and structural interventions.
  • Applications in performance and personal and professional relationships.
04 / SYSTEMIC MODELING

Integrate the work
in lived situations.

Bring the model into coherent facilitation. Refine your responsiveness to the person, their relationships, and the wider situation through practice and feedback.

  • Precision and specificity in application.
  • Integration of somatic and conversational interventions.
  • Personal, relational, and organizational contexts.
  • Stabilizing access and supporting the person’s independent use of the work.

These areas describe the training’s integrated curriculum. The sequence and delivery arrangements for each program are provided with its enrollment information.

The experiential foundation

GDS. GTS. INTENT!

You learn to elicit these experiences somatically, recognize their organization, and facilitate their integration.

GDS

Generalized Desired State

An individual’s unique, somatically organized experience of how they most desire to be in the world.

GTS

Greater Than Self

An individual’s unique, somatically organized experience of that which transcends their individual self and gives their being meaning and significance.

INTENT!

The Third Harmonic

A qualitatively new, embodied organization of being that emerges through the oscillation of GDS and GTS, generating an excitatory orientation from which the individual perceives, participates in, and acts upon the world with expanded agency and access to previously unavailable possibilities.

The essential distinction: INTENT! is the generative organization of being from which perception, choice, and action emerge. It is distinct from a goal, desire, or conscious intention.

How you learn

Experience. Observe.
Facilitate. Refine.

The training develops an embodied capacity through direct experience, demonstration, supervised practice, and individual feedback.

01

Experience

Participate in the process yourself. Recognize the shifts in your own somatic organization, perception, and availability to act.

02

Observe

Watch facilitation closely. Learn to distinguish the practitioner’s intervention from the response it elicits in the participant.

03

Facilitate

Work in participant and facilitator roles. Practice elicitation, tracking, conversational intervention, and integration.

04

Refine

Receive precise feedback. Develop reliable moves and the flexibility to create an appropriate application in the moment.

What develops through the work

From access to
generative participation.

Mytho2™ develops your ability to recognize and facilitate changes that can be observed in how a person organizes experience and participates.

  1. Intent as orientation

Help the person recognize and return to an excitatory organization of being. Attend to their capacity to access and restore it for themselves.

  2. Emotion as information

Support emotional flexibility, so the person can use emotion as information while remaining available to perceive, choose, and respond.

  3. Participative awareness

Develop recognition of how the person’s own participation contributes to what occurs within a conversation, relationship, or situation.

  4. Perceptual refinement & affordances

Attend to what becomes available as the person’s organization changes: possibilities for participation within the relationship between that person and the situation.

  5. Consequential intentionality

Explore how choices and participation shape a trajectory—what an action makes possible, what it closes, and what follows.

  6. Expressive freedom

Develop a broader range of expression through language, voice, movement, and behavior, responsive to the circumstances of the encounter.

  7. Generative agency

Support the transfer of capacity to the person themselves. The central evidence is their ability to generate and access the excitatory orientation independently, with new possibilities for participation.

The professional standard

Competence you
can demonstrate.

Certification as a MythoSelf Facilitator rests on observable moves that are persistent, reliable, and replicable.

  • Elicit GDS and GTS and facilitate the emergence of INTENT! through their oscillation.
  • Recognize and respond to somatic and perceptual shifts with precision.
  • Create generative interventions appropriate to the person and the situation.
  • Facilitate an excitatory orientation and support its independent access by the participant.

Professional practice also calls for integrity, confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, respect for the participant’s agency, and continued development of your own competence.

Your professional pathway

For practitioners ready
to facilitate the process.

Mytho2™ is the full facilitator qualification within the MythøGenX professional pathway.

It is for Serious Practitioners—coaches, consultants, advisors, clinicians, facilitators, and others working in human systems—who want to develop the capacity to facilitate the MythoSelf Process™ with others. Personal transformation remains an integral part of that professional development.

Foundational facilitation

Fundamentals

Develop the ability to facilitate GDS, GTS, and INTENT! within an existing competent professional practice.

Certified facilitator

Mytho2™

Develop generative interventions and transfer of an independently accessible excitatory orientation.

Advanced facilitation

Mytho4™

Deepen the distinction between excitatory state and excitatory perception, and extend generative facilitation.

How is Mytho2™ different from a personal experience?

Foundations offers direct experience of GDS, GTS, and INTENT! for personal transformation. Mytho2™ develops the professional ability to facilitate the process with others and is assessed through demonstrated competence.

Where should I enter the pathway?

Mytho2™ builds on the foundational facilitation competencies developed in Fundamentals. Discuss your experience and current practice with us so that the appropriate entry point and preparation can be established.

What are the dates, format, and investment?

Details for the next Mytho2™ program will be provided as the offering is confirmed. Use the Connect page to begin the conversation about your interest, preparation, and the next opportunity to train.
